Stainless steel ball valve maintenance method:

First: After the blank is finished, after pickling, it must be rinsed out. If there are sand holes or perforations, it should be gas-shielded welded by argon arc welding. Then polish again, and then solid solution treatment;
Second: finished product, after processing and pressure test is completed. It should be rinsed with water added with anti-rust powder.
Third: During the transportation process, try to use wooden boxes for packaging, and do not touch metal products.
Fourth: After installing the pipeline, regularly maintain and maintain it, for example, often apply lubricant to the stem. Open and close the valve appropriately a few times. Make the assembling of the inner ball, valve stem and sealing surface difficult.

Stainless steel ball valves generally have two structures, reduced diameter and non-reduced diameter channels. Regardless of the structure, the flow resistance coefficient of the ball valve is relatively small.

In particular, the so-called full flow type, that is, a non-reducing ball valve, because its channel diameter is equal to the inner diameter of the pipeline, the local resistance loss is only the friction resistance of the pipeline of the same length, that is, of all the valves, the flow resistance of this ball valve is the smallest. In the rocket launch and its test system, the smaller the resistance of the pipeline is, the better.

There are two ways to reduce the resistance of the pipeline system: One is to reduce the flow rate of the fluid. For this reason, it is necessary to increase the diameter of the pipe and the diameter of the valve. This often has an adverse effect on the economy of the pipeline system, especially for low-temperature delivery systems ( Liquid hydrogen) is extremely unfavorable.

(1) Reduce the local resistance of the valve, therefore, the ball valve has naturally become the best choice.
(2) The on-off switch of the ball valve is quick and convenient.
Under normal circumstances, the ball valve only needs to turn the handle 90° to complete the fully open or fully closed action, it is easy to achieve rapid opening and closing. It can realize fast opening and closing, and the opening and closing time of some structures is only 0.05~0.1s to ensure that it can be used in the automatic system of the test bench. When opening and closing the valve quickly, there is no impact during operation.
(3) The sealing performance of the ball valve is good.
The seats of most ball valves are made of elastic materials such as PTFE, and the metal and non-metallic sealing pairs are usually called soft seals. Generally speaking, the tightness of the soft seal is easy to ensure, and the processing accuracy and surface roughness of the sealing surface are not very high.
(4) Long service life of ball valve.
Because PTFE has good self-lubricating properties, the friction and wear with the ball are small, and due to the improvement of the ball processing technology, the roughness is reduced, thereby improving the service life of the ball valve.
